The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) is responsible for completing the patient admission process, assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure to include resource utilization and care intervention.  The ACNO will also be responsible for clinical onboarding and training within the Bridgemoor Transitional Care and will serve as a mentor to team members in the delivery of clinical training and regulatory compliance modules ensuring a supportive relationship in promotion of the team members’ professional development. In addition, the ACNO will supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel on each unit, as assigned by the CNO.

Here's what we are looking for:


  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred


  • Valid RN State Licensure
  • BLS - CPR Card from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire


  • A minimum of 4 years of acute and/or post-acute care experience providing direct patient care and/or in management required
  • Experience related to clinical education delivery preferred
  • Experience with federal, state and local rules/regulations, Joint Commission, and Regulatory Compliance required


  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications consisting of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective written, and oral communication skills

WORK SCHEDULE: Ability to adhere to a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays and on- call rotation as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
